MATRIC teacher's achievement AWARD CRITERIA
📘 About the Matric Teachers achievement Award

The Matric Teachers Achievement Award celebrates the dedication, excellence, and impact of educators who play a pivotal role in guiding learners through their final and most defining stage of secondary education. These teachers are not only knowledge-bearers but also mentors, motivators, and role models who inspire academic excellence and personal growth among matric learners.

Through this award, Southern African Youth Development Agency (SAYDA) and SAATA Awards acknowledge the tireless efforts of teachers who go beyond the classroom—investing time, creativity, and care to ensure that learners are well-prepared for their future studies, careers, and life journeys.

By recognising outstanding matric educators, the award underscores the belief that behind every high-achieving learner, there is an exceptional teacher whose passion and commitment make success possible.
