The Inspiration and Legacy Award recognizes individuals who embody the highest values of leadership, resilience, and positive influence in society. This award is dedicated to celebrating living role models who inspire the youth through their achievements, mentorship, and service, as well as honoring posthumous role models whose legacy continues to shape communities and generations beyond their lifetime.

Through this award, Southern African Annual Top Achievers Awards (SAATA) seeks to preserve and amplify stories of courage, vision, and sacrifice — ensuring that both present and past icons of excellence remain a guiding light for future leaders.

By recognizing these exceptional figures, Southern African Annual Top Achievers Awards (SAATA) seeks to highlight the power of influence, mentorship, and resilience in building a stronger, more united, and forward-looking Africa.

This category reminds us that true greatness is not only measured by personal success, but also by the impact one leaves in the lives of others—whether through ongoing contributions or through a legacy that continues to inspire long after their passing.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Role Models (Living):
  • Open to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, mentorship, or societal impact.
  • Must be recognized for inspiring young people in education, business, innovation, sports, community development, or other sectors.
2. Posthumous Role Models (Legacy):
  • Open to individuals who have passed on but left a remarkable legacy of excellence, resilience, and service.
  • Nominees should have a documented history of positively shaping communities, institutions, or youth development.
Nomination Process
  • Nominations may be submitted by institutions, organizations, schools, communities, or individuals.
  • Supporting documentation is required (e.g., testimonials, achievements, published works, awards, or references).
  • Posthumous nominations must include confirmation of the nominee’s legacy and contributions.
Evaluation Criteria

                 Nominees will be assessed based on:

  • Impact: Tangible influence on youth and community development.
  • Inspiration: Ability to inspire and motivate others through actions, achievements, or legacy.
  • Integrity & Values: Commitment to ethical leadership, accountability, and positive change.
  • Sustainability: Contributions that have lasting effects or continue to inspire after their time.
Award Recognition
  • Role Models (Living): Honorees will be celebrated for their ongoing contributions to society and acknowledged as guiding figures for the youth.
  • Posthumous Role Models: Families or representatives of the honoree will receive the award, symbolizing the enduring influence of the nominee’s legacy.
